Afra is responsible for data management, data analytics and AI strategy and development in ESB. As part of it’s Net Zero by 2040 Strategy, ESB has included data and digital as one of the four foundational elements of its strategy. Afra is responsible for enabling ESB to become a data driven utility leveraging the power of AI in delivering its strategy.
Prior to her current role Afra has held a variety of jobs across ESB, including Commercial Business Partner for the Asset Development Team and the Strategy, Innovation and Transformation area. She also worked in Investment Management on ESB’s Private Equity Fund. Afra has 20 years’ experience in the energy industry covering both technical and commercial roles. Afra has a degree in Mechanical Engineering from University College Dublin.
